22k individual transactions supported over 1,050 projects.
0.57 BTC (roughly $57k) donated through Geyser Grants to over 86 projects across 5 different grants.
1,086 projects launched in 2024.

Our primary goal for 2024 was to improve Geyser for creators and make projects more discoverable for contributors. Here are the key initiatives we focused on.

Refining Our Mission

Released The Geyser Manifesto, charting our trajectory toward powering Bitcoin adoption.
Enabled the community to join this mission through Geyser Guardians.

Enhanced Creator Tooling

Upgraded Rewards: Introduced Limited Editions, sat denominations, sales management, reward tags, simplified accounting, and individual reward pages.
Enhanced Posts: Send email updates to followers and contributors, connect posts to rewards and goals.
Revamped Goals: Redesigned milestones to allow multiple goals, transparent progress tracking, live funding and individual goal pages.
Launched Project Affiliates.

Improved Project Discovery

Introduced Recurring Email Updates to keep creators and contributors informed about projects they own or follow.
Simplified UI: Redesigned layout, navigation, and UX for a better experience.

Gamified the Experience

Introduced Heroes, a way for us to celebrate and recognize the individual creators, contributors and promoters on Geyser.
Introduced Ambassadors, enabling users to support projects by sharing them, with every participant recognized as a "Hero."
Updated Geyser Bot, now called Geyser Spirit, sending automated messages via Nostr and X whenever large donations are made.
Added Boosting Projects, allowing creators to increase their visibility by paying fees on Geyser.

Improved Grants

Enhanced Community Voting Grants with Sybil-resistant features like user login and incremental voting.
Launched 4 Community Voting Grants, including one with Bitcoin Film Fest and 1 Board Member Grant with Bitcoin Beach.

Successful Stories & Trends

Bitcoin Circular Economies are Thriving: Communities worldwide are creating circular economies and educating others on Bitcoin adoption. The Bitcoin Beach grant made it clear that this is a trend worth watching. Circular Economies are core places where Bitcoin education, creativity and community collaboration takes place.
Bitcoin Culture is Beautiful: From Hero of Bitcoin’s Gameboy game to Bushido of Bitcoin, films, and other arts, creative projects are flourishing in Bitcoin. This is one of the areas that most excite us, because it's through culture that we can scale Bitcoin at the social layer. Long live Bitcoin Culture!
Bitcoiners Entering Politics: With Maya running for office in Suriname and the Orange Pill Politicians project making waves, Bitcoiners are stepping into leadership roles around the world. And crowdfunding plays a pivotal role in supporting Bitcoiners representing Bitcoin around the world.

Aspirations

In 2025, our primary goal is to achieve or get close to financial sustainability as a company. This will allow us to sustain our small team and remain sovereign over our mission to power Bitcoiners around the world.

We also aim to deepen our engagement within the Bitcoin community to better connect great ideas with their contributors, in order to push Bitcoin adoption faster. We are currently working on the roadmap for 2025, so keep tuned to here what's next.
